Dale Andres, Chief Executive Officer, who joined GSI in 2021, has more than 30 years of experience in the resource industry. Mr. Andres currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for the Company’s wholly owned Mexican subsidiary, Minera Luz del Sol. Previously, Mr. Andres served as Senior Vice President, Base Metals; as Senior Vice President, Copper; as Vice President, Copper Strategy and North American Operations; as Vice President, Gold and International Mining; and as General Manager, Underground Mines, at Teck Resources Limited.
Tony Scott, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Technical Services, who joined GSI in 2022, has more than 20 years of experience in the resource industry. Previously, Mr. Scott served as Managing Director, Commodities and Global Markets and as Senior Vice President, at Macquarie Group Ltd.; as Director, Long Term Asset Planning and as Manager, Reserve Evaluations at Teck Resources Limited; and as a geologist in multiple positions at Teck Resources Limited, Placer Dome Gold, and Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines.
André van Niekerk, Chief Financial Officer, who joined GSI in 2022, has more than 20 years of international experience in the mining industry. Previously, Mr. van Niekerk served as Chief Financial Officer at Nevada Copper Corp.; as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Golden Star Resources; and in various advisory and audit roles at KPMG. Mr. van Niekerk is a Certified Public Accountant.
Luis Felipe Huerta, Vice President Mexico, who joined GSI in 2015, has 25 years of project management experience in the mining industry. Previously, Mr. Huerta served as Project Manager at Continental Gold Inc.; as Project Manager at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc.; and as Project Superintendent at Compania Minera Milpo.
Nicolas Vachon, who joined GSI in 2022, has more than 20 years of financial and corporate development experience in the mining industry. Mr. Vachon most recently held several senior positions at Teck Resources Limited in the corporate finance, treasury and corporate development areas including serving as Director and Finance Business Partner for the Technology and Innovation group focused on business transformation. Previously, Mr. Vachon served in various financial and technical roles at Placer Dome Gold and Golder Associates.
James Woeller, Vice President, Corporate Development and Business Improvement, who joined GSI in 2022, has more than 10 years of progressive experience in the mining industry. Previously, Mr. Woeller served as Director, Strategy and Business Analysis; as Business Development Manager; and in various other commercial, financial planning and corporate development roles at Teck Resources Limited. Mr. Woeller holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Stephen Bodley, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, who joined GSI in 2022, has more than 30 years of experience in natural resources and other industries. Previously, Mr. Bodley served as Chief Legal Officer at Ma’aden and General Counsel at Sherritt International. Mr. Bodley holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School and is licensed to practice law in Canada.
